Clay Paver Garden

With small spaces, the material choices are even more crucial in dictating the tone and atmosphere of the space.

The clients had recently moved in and wanted to re-design their small courtyard garden. 

​

The space benefited from an existing wall at the rear with established ivy, which was kept to retain the sense of a green wall. Other than this, the garden was astro turf and concrete slabs. The design created two useable and distinct areas within the garden and the choice of clay paver improved

permeability of the site and created the laid back and informal atmosphere the clients wanted.

The garden received a good amount of sun, so hardy and drought tolerant planting was chosen.
